It was ok. Other than being left off the final docket and our file not being in the court room, it went smoothly. We were the last of the contested cases to be called. If you were in a contested case but could reach an agreement simply it was over fast. I stood up twice and said only seven words, two of them being my name. I stood up where I was seated, she stood up where she she seated, and it lasted two minutes. She was ok for the first 10 seconds, then she spoke. The judge had to stop her twice, she agreed to leave and she has seven days. He was firm when he told her that if she doesn't leave she'll be escorted out by law enforcement. It was interesting but I have no desire to ever have to be in court again.

Glad it worked out for you! Hopefully she won't get vindictive and trash the place before she leaves. We had a couple we had to evict who came back and broke windows, broke the toilet tank cover, and stole all the light bulbs in the house. Pretty petty stuff if you ask me.

Great news, Robin! I'm glad it worked out easily. We'll keep our fingers crossed for a smoothly played out end to this drama!

This was one of Jay Leno's "Headlines" last night.

Moose Accident in Waldoboro Makes Three

A Camden man hit a moose just up the road from Bullwinkle's Restaurant next to a moose crossing sign in Waldoboro on Sept. 23 and kept going. The struck moose lay dead in the road that Tuesday night until two Waldoboro residents saw it and called the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, according to LCSO Deputy Brent Barter. Barter said that when the driver was pulled over by Camden Police, it was discovered that the man didn't realize he had killed the moose.

The irony of the location was the funny part.

Amateurs! I know she's knocked out the wall between the bathroom and laundry room, moved the toilet, removed the tub and installed a different tub in a different place. I was so shocked I forgot to look for the sink but it must be in there some where. The antique radiator is gone and I'm assuming the door she removed is also gone. There was a piece of fabric hanging over the missing bathroom door. She didn't like the shingles on the barn so she removed them after I told her NO! And I know three of the bedrooms' walls are decorated in permanent marker. She replaced the stove and fridge with her own (we said she could) but then she gave away our stove and fridge rather than storing them in the barn. Good news though - the walk in closet looked ok! I haven't been allowed back in the house since those discoveries. Who knows what I'll find next week.

Sounds like quite a bit of redecorating she did!

This is the primary reason we have never purchased rental property. It was tempting during the recent "boom", but since I'd be elected to do all the repairs on the place, I decided to pass.

Hope your situation is over, and all ends well!

She'll probably be looking for her security deposit to boot!

She wanted to buy the house but since she can't/won't/doesn't hold down jobs well she wasn't able to get a mortgage. The purchase and sale agreement ran out almost two years ago.
