How does YouTube decide what to pull? What is "hate speech?" What is an "extreme view?" How exactly is that defined? This is a really bad idea.
They will decide based upon the social/political opinions of the top executives. As a result, bashing certain groups, such as old white men and The Jew, will be lauded, and bashing various other groups (women, blacks, moslems, etc) will be condemned. I.E... the typical hypocritical double standard that is prevalent today.

Such as? I'm definitely looking for an alternative where I decide what I want to watch and what is appropriate for me to watch. A place where, if I find something is offensive to me... I simply do not watch it. My choice.
Don't play stupid, because I know you're not.
He has been deplatformed, for what?
Even pedophiles, sex traffickers & terrorist organization have not been removed from social media.
What makes Jones and INFOWARS so dangerous? It is just words.

I don't think of him as dangerous. I think of him as ridiculous.
Might I remind you that InfoWars makes people sign a TOS in order to post, and retains the discretion to "deplatform" any poster for any reason?
They will only read books that the right-wing media tells them they can read. Too paranoid about bias to think for themselves. Hate to say it, but it's true.
Did you read the title? History videos, like documentaries, things you would see on the History Channel.
Kids a generation from now: "What's a nazi?"
1. Any broad sweep of anything will always have a degree of error.....so I am fairly certain YT will allow certain such things, but it's easier to build from the bottom up, then from the top down in this case.
2. The History Channel as well as numerous other outlets can have all the content they want on their own video channels on their sites. Amazon has plenty of documentaries.
HBO too.
Many others also....
Doesn't it get tiring being the victims? There are vastly more sources then EVER before including said books that you never would have been able to find before (on Amazon..easy to find)....
But somehow "better than ever" is morphed into "no info available" in some viewpoints. That's fantastic.
If Youtube wants to follow Disney PG-13 for all their content, that is up to them. Only them.
I just love the whole "it's a private company and they can do what they want" line coming from progressives. But cake shops and pizza joints are forced to do business with whom the government says they must and progressives applaud.
So I wonder when YouTube is going to stop hosting accounts that show "gangsta rap" videos that glorify crime and violence? What, so someone can be influenced by "nazi" videos, including historical footage and commentary, by not by Young Thug pontificating about the pleasures of popping a cap in someone's @ss because his Puma got stepped on in a club?
If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all. ~ Noam Chomsky
Oh, we believe in it...and we believe they deserve their "natural" audience based on the strength of their ideas. That is exactly what they will get if they start their own site, write their own books, etc.
This isn't about that at all.
It's about whether a corporations has to give as much money to ideals they despise...as they do to others they approve of.
For example, youtube might enjoy me putting up DIY videos and therefore allow me to even make a few bucks on them.
On the other hand, they may not allow some snake to monetize or even post.....because it's not in keeping with their corporate vision.
Can you understand the Disney mission? Or should Disney have to allow Alex Jones to set up a booth in Epcot and broadcast Live?
It's a pretty simple issue.
