As much as I would want a leftist winning in 2018, they probably will not win. PRI is too powerful. Most of the monied-class votes PRI. And PRI bribes (surprise surprise) the poorer, indigenous Mexicans with pathetic boxes of cheap food for their votes. Disgusting.

Maybe they should stop trying to be European and White and appreciate their own culture and resources. Some nations act like Westernalization is the standard and don't appreciate their uniqueness.

Mexico is richer and has a way better potential than Canada, but most return to 40-50 million inhabitants, as in the 50's.

That's interesting.

PEW did a survey of Mexicans living in the US and asked them what were the three most important things about living in the US versus Mexico.

Number One...was the "free" health care in the US. That is emergency room care...Why didn't they mention Mexico's system??

Number Two...was the public school system in the US, that actually attempted to educate their children. Does Mexico even have a public school system that functions??

Number Three...was the number of jobs so their husbands could come home at night after working. They did not have to find work miles away from home.

Mexico is a failed state. The quicker it deals with its problems the better both countries will be in the future.

You cannot have a successful country based on exporting your people to another country and then depending on them to send money "back home".

and that's with corruption now imagine if Mexico wasn't so corrupted like it is right now probably almost or wealthier than the U.S well be with so many resources that we have

tell me why???
Okay, there are a few issues with your statement in regards to GDP, but the primary one is that while Mexico does have the 11th largest GDP by a certain metric, you aren't taking into account the very large population Mexico has. Mexico has about 120 million people within the country has about and so a more realistic accounting is to use GDP per capita (in which case, using purchasing power parity as you did originally, Mexico's placement is in the 60s rather than 11th. Since the topic is about being a first world country which is more about quality of life than it is about aggregate power, the per capita statistic is the much more appropriate one to use.

Please get your facts rights and educate your self why can't Americans understand ILLEGAL Mexican immigration to U.S. has almost dramatically fall almost to zero it appears that's only thing they focus is immigration and never the positive of Mexico .

The living standards here are okay I never been to the U.S. actually and dont plan to enter to such a country with a history of hate and racism I can't stand those Americans feeling superior to the rest of the world.

I have been to Canada and Quebec such beautiful people with very polite manners and they view mostly every one equality how come the U.S. cant be like Canada???

Just like the United States of America and also Canada (Mexico) has both first world sections (or) sectors , and third world sections ( or) sectors of the country. Where you decide to travel dictates whether you are seeing a Third World Country (or) a First World Country.

I think you're confused Mexico's economy does ranks 11th but GDP around 66 more or less witch categories Mexico as a middle class income country.

Take a look at India and China both have a higher economy than Mexico but their GDP is around 6,000 USD a year Mexico has better living standards and life conditions than those countries even with our corruption problems.

You're right in so many things Mexico is negative seen as a sh*t whole by most people that's because most people just focus on the media and misconceptions yet most people don't focus on the positive side of our country .

As matter of fact Mexico city is wealthier than the majority of U.S. cities and it ranks the 8th of the world our subways are decent and clean and beautiful not just in Mexico city but in most large Mexican cities unlike NYC subway transportation system...

Other Latin American people view Mexico city as the New York of latin America I have thread btw if you want to see is "Cities of Mexico"
