Besides, the donor can do whatever s/he wants - it's his/her money.
No one considers Live Aid racist although it specifically donated to African only.
Agree with both of you 100%.

For all you know the donor could be a white male who feels privileged and wants to help those he feels didn't have the same opportunities he did.

Just say thank you that someone cared enough to give their money to help others rather than buy a bigger house or a yacht or some other meaningless toy. And they didn't even ask for recognition.
Amen.

And let me give everyone a little 411.... a "white" male COULD end up w/ the scholarship... why... as science has already proven, RACE is not something that is scientifically identifiable. It's an American obsession though. So there are many "Hispanic/Latinos" who are "white" but considered "Hispanic/Latino." It's not THEIR fault it's set up that way, it's just the way this country is.

I am a white American male. I am the true minority. Add the words Christian white American male and that is even more a minority. When all others get more rights and privileges then me then that makes me a minority. And dont start with that males make more in the workplace crap.

When I get off this PC I am going to apply for a scholarship with the United Negro College Fund.

So often I wish I was born with big boobs. Used properly I could be a millionaire 10 times over today.

Racist? Yes.

Typical example of the double-standard and hypocrisy of the "affirmative action" crowd? You bet.

Thankfully, the Supreme Court is expected to hear a new case of reverse discrimination (some white and latino firefighters in New England were denied promotions because no blacks qualified for promotions, so to avoid promoting the qualified white/latinos and offending the unqualified blacks, the town simply refused to promote anyone).

"The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race."
- Chief Justice John Roberts

Wait, Wait...hold it, hold it! this is not an issue of affirmative action or discrimination. This is simply a case of a donation to be used in a specific way which is to help ANY woman or minority, the same way a donation can be used for i.e. stem cell research, school of law, religious studies to name a few. Some of you need to get a grip on yourselves and/or hold your panties because again, this is not a racist issue. Is it unfair? you bet your sweet aspercreme, but that's just life.
