Wait, Wait...hold it, hold it! this is not an issue of affirmative action or discrimination. This is simply a case of a donation to be used in a specific way which is to help ANY woman or minority, the same way a donation can be used for i.e. stem cell research, school of law, religious studies to name a few. Some of you need to get a grip on yourselves and/or hold your panties because again, this is not a racist issue. Is it unfair? you bet your sweet aspercreme, but that's just life.
When a public university accepts donations that will be used to help females and only males of certain racial groups, that is racial discrimination sanctioned by the government.
Ofcourse this is racist..But this is the New America- Minorities get everything, white males get nothing. If this was for just the whites only, do you think it would be labeled racist? Ofcourse it would!
Please...Minorities have more rights than anyone else. And also dont need to learn to speak English.
I have to say most comments are nonsense. Females and minorities are disadvantaged in this country. Just look at the average/median incomes, salaries, and unemployment rates for these groups and compare them with white males.
Difference between affirmative action and racial discrimination is well-defined. Targeting at risk groups with scholarships for higher education does not qualify for discrimination. Moreover, in this case, it is not even public money. So stop the nonsense.

This has been going on since the eary 70's.
Prior to that it was a white male world (govermental and otherwise) and for those who want to turn back the clock - it will not be pretty.
I get that some of this is unfair, but life is not fair.
I don't get annoyed with people who benefit from affirmative action. I just detest the people who legislate and promote this antiquated nonsense. It's so outlived its purpose. Yea Yea Yea....I know someone will respond to my posting with something original such as "I'm not sensative to minorities", "I'm a bigot", "We still have too much discrimination.". BLAH BLAH BLAH... You know the drill.

Racist, clearly, as the opposite donation wouldn't "fly".
Will it ever stop? I'm not so sure. Maybe, when the silent majority has had enough this bs will end.
