Cibolacoog.....It's almost always on Saturday as NM is a large state so teams, fans and family members have to travel far so most have saturday off from work and school where as on friday most can't travel far in a few hours. So i say Dec 8th.....

By the way Cibolacoog....i forgot to ask but who won the Metro Freshman title between Cibola and Montana Vista. Also will they be your best rival now since they are the newest high school on the west side or will Rio Rancho still be the biggest....

Also had to put a plug for Highland HS as the new Artificial Turf they are installing on the Football Field there looks great. Now if they would get a stadium......

The Cibola Freshman team beat Volcano Vista and won the title. I think that Rio Rancho will remain our rival school because it is closer it is literally up the hill. Plus the rivalry is already established. I wanted to ask you if the championship is in the afternoon or the evening. Also where will it be what city?

It's usually at 1.00 P.M. on Sat so by the time its over at around 4 or 5.00 P.M. people have time to travel back to their cities.

Im not sure where it will be held as the NMAA has nade changes so what happened last year doesn't happen again as the higher rated seed Mayfeild had to go to Alamogordo for the Title Game and that was twice in the same year having to go over to Alamo as that wasn't fair to Mayfield or their fans.

They beat Alamo so that made up for the ride over..
Neighbor had a slight problem last year, GD was a cheerleader for Alamo and GS was the QB for Mayfield. So they cheered for all..

I sure wish Alamo would have done better.....and alrhough i do think they should be fair to all teams i am glad Alamo got the Title Game as that was good for Alamogordo....

I still remember the last Title Game in Alamo in 1985 when Clovis beat Alamo as that was a great season back then as we were 12-0 and ranked 18th in the nation according to USA Today going into the title game back then only to lose to a Great Clovis team who we beat earlier in the season.
