I think that there would only be one lease signing. You can sign a lease anytime in August and have it start the first of September. I think that they have enough paperwork to have to deal with different signing dates. But then that's just my opinion. I feel that we may view our unit in July, sign lease in August and move in a September. After today there are no holidays til September, there is lots of time for Breaking Ground to focus on leasing up 10 FP.
Let's just hold on for a few more weeks, we're almost there. I wonder if they hired a building director for 10 FP?

I don't see it listed on their careers page, so I think so!

There are still so many variables that we can't be sure of any dates yet. Construction delays. There may be a delay in the city issuing the C of O for whatever reason. Even once the applicant's file is sent to HPD for final approval, they can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Also, lease signings don't have to happen on the 1st or 15th of the month.

We can at least know that it is in progress.

I hope there is another inspection soon. It would be great to get a new update!

Hi all,
Well, the loooong weekend is over and hopefully it is time to put the rubber to the road (so to speak).
Hopefully and prayafully thta the next six weeks will move forward with the process of leasing up the apts. I am starting to have funny feelings about this building and don't want to think that this is a sign of how it will be run. After September if it has not moved I feel that I would need to walk away and look elsewhere. As much as I would love to be at 10 FP it beginning not to feel right. No communication with management as to any updates which would have been helpful during this frustrating time. Summer is moving and we have all put our lives on hold waiting, and at the end of the day nothing is guaranteed. I for sure thought that by now we would know SOMETHING/ANYTHING from them.
EXCUSE THE SOUND OFF, JUST FRUSTRATED. Going to the beach today and DE-STRESS.

All the lotteries are like this unfortunately. In fact, we've gotten more updates than most people have. In my experience, they will NEVER say you are 'accepted' before you are finally approved by HPD. That surprised me. The whole process is extremely painful but that's how it has to be.

I understand, but I also understand there has to be a plan B. This process could cause a breakdown for some. I will not let that happen to me. So, I have to form a plan B and move on to something that is meant for me. I am just frustrated, let's see what happens in the coming weeks. Again, by September if no movement, I give up to any hope.

I feel pretty sure we'll hear something by the end of this month. After all, Phoenix has been saying all along that the building is deliverable in July on their work software.

I can't decide if hearing my application was accepted has helped or not. I think it has given me more hope than i would have otherwise had, and that could turn out badly should my application not end up going through.

I think having a backup plan is smart. Unfortunately, the only backup plan I can think of for myself is to leave NYC. I'm just really done with living with roommates. New Light, I hope you have something better in mind! Maybe I can go back to school and one day come back here.

Yes, I live with my mother and we get along fine. I would like to have my own space and have worked hard for an opportunity like this here in NY. My job is in New York and I could stay in the city but I will be disappointed and unsure if I want to go through this process again. I am still applying to lotteries but some of the buildings and neighborhoods are not as desirable to me as this one. "FRUSTRATED"
