actually yes, she has basic street smarts (don't wander too much at nighttime, avoid empty side streets, keep expansive goods such as iPhone etc out of other people sight etc), she has been working in some of the roughest french hoods (don't know if you know about this but there were major riots back in 2005, in our town a gymnasium was burnt down, cars also, people was getting randomly mugged...) for like 20 years so I think she can easily handle herself in a generally unsafe place. However, it's her first time in the US so you know I'm a bit concerned about this, even though she has a friend who lives in el barrio further east near the Carver Houses and who could provide her some advice.

I was up in Goliath today, 105th & 3rd today we were chatting when some kid comes in all wilding out about someone getting popped (dead) in broad daylight on 110th st about 3pm, NYE strts with a bang1

Final day of the year...I wonder what happened on 180th in the Bronx I was on the 41 bus and a different route had to be taken that whole strip was full of cops and News 12 supposedly there had been a murder there that area is fire.

114th between 7-8 ave was hot as hell this evening too, harlem is putting it down tonight!

The Bronx is very active tonight on Gothamist. At least 4 shooting were reported on the map, include a multiple shooting on 187th & Webster.

Not 100% sure if it will be on the news but there where shootings in bed-stuy around 2am New Years Day that where gang related. Homie of mine let me know, but i mean thats such a busy night for news media i dont have a clue if they made it out there to document it.
