As I said from the JUMP this dude had mental issues (while other idiots wanted to focus on "neighborhood poverty bashing") and based on his past history of violence should of never been allowed back on the streets. Until we really get serious with addressing the mental illness crises affecting not only in this city but the entire country we will continue to see tragedies such as this. And we can start with looking at the side effects of the very drugs these people have been prescribed playing a major role in this uptick of violence caused by those with mental problems. Time to put the bullseye on Big Pharma...

well, he was released from a 5 year sentence only to commit more crimes.
nice.

this time he needs to be in jail for life, or preferably the death sentence.

sorry to hear about that, but no need for half of you to act like you really care after the fact.

any explanation why he was in an East New York housing project when he was living in Queens? Something seems odd about that.

Found answer:

For several years, before moving to Queens roughly a decade ago, Mr. St. Hubert lived intermittently with his family at 359 Wortman Avenue in Brooklyn, just a few buildings away from the Boulevard Houses, where the two children were stabbed.

Because that part of Brooklyn and that part of Queens are closer together than most other parts of Brooklyn and Queens are to one another. Both ENY and South Ozone are serviced by the A train.

And how do we know it was side effects from big pharma that made this guy a serial killer? No medical or psychiatric information has been released (not the full diagnosis and the treatment).

And how do you expect mental illness to be treated? You are aware therapy alone doesn't always work (sometimes medication is needed ,but that too clearly doesn't always work).

It may be quite possible that there is nothing that can be done to or for people like this man. Individuals that are this dangerous need to be removed from the society by either life imprisonment or the death penalty.

NYCHA needs to help lower crimes inside these projects. More cameras and police presence. These projects have become incubators of drug dealers, rapist, and child muderers.

I've always said, I'm all for drug tests too. I know some good people are stuck there and have to suffer the wrath of these degenerates first hand.
