Time to be honest with you all. The truth is I am the transgendered one. Yes, that is correct. I used to be a man but recently had my you-know-whats taken off and pushed back inside me to make me a woman. I take a load of hormones, too. And I have breast implants. Recently I moved in with a roommate (yes, it was me all along) and I haven't told her. She has questioned my size 11 shoes, but that's not all that unusual.

Why should I tell the b**tch? Hell, I'm as much of a woman as she is. Sure, I don't have ovaries or fallopian tubes or even a womb, but who cares about that fluffy stuffing stuff. What matters is that all my outer parts resemble a woman. A little bit of lipstick and hairspray and I am more woman than any woman I know. I have dated and slept with several men who had no idea. And what business is it of anyone's anyway? Screw them.

But what really warms my heart and makes me so happy is all the love and support that I've witness here in this thread. Thank you, all of you, for understanding and nonjudgmental acceptance.

Love and Kisses,

Woofie (the pink dog)

You really are pathetic. ALL this work to stay ignorant, when all you have to do is some research and educate yourself toward being a much better person. I feel sorry for you.

anyone who thinks movies are respresentative of real life needs a serious reality check

and for a gay man to say based on violent stereotypes seen in the movies they are now "scared" of certain people....is no different than saying based on inaccurate stereyotypes of gay men in the media (violent, deviant, pedophiles, pick your favorite) we should all be scared of gays now.

Gays are OK but transgendered folk are not? Puleeeez!

I am age 49. The first 31 years of my life i lived as a heterosexual woman, and the last 18 years of my life i've lived openly as a dyke and as a bisexual. My life in the GLBT community revealed to me just how much this sort of prejudice exists. Be open minded or don't be, but being selectively openminded, or saying accept my group but the rest of you are dangerous sleazebags because i saw it in a movie, well, that is hypocrisy alive and well and thriving. It's like narrow minded straight people who bash on gays, well there are a whole lot of narrow minded gays doing the same thing like the post in this thread, gays all high and mighty and superior bashing someone transgendered in this case (or bisexual, or "born gay" versus "came out gay later in life" or born a woman or born a man. blah blah blah).

Prejudice and hate and stereotyping carry the same stench no matter how you slice it.
If you want to end hate and prejudice in this world....start with yourself.
If you want people to treat you with tolerance and acceptance and dignity and respect....then extend it to others.

(I am speaking to the "collective you" meaning anyone who practices prejudice, not any specific "individual you" such as any single person posting on this forum.)

Good posts. The fact that those like Artsyguy who are in a minority group are sometimes the first to start slinging around vicious sterotypes about others confuses me.

The OP clearly has way bigger issues than this, and both Artsy and the OP have some growing up to do.

It's a psycholgical thing where one feels inferior to the heterosexual norm and therefore picks on someone who is even less normal than they are so as to feel better about themselves "I'm bad but I'm not that bad". Happens across all "put upon" groups (racial minorities, religious, etc.)

Typical order in the GLBT world:

A masculine gay man feels inferior to heterosexual men and puts down effeminate gay men. The effimante gay man feels inferior to both heterosexuals and masculine gay men and puts down the transexual...

Makes sense. My Mum's girlfriend does this - very judgemental of others, and I have always found it so hard to understand and EXTREMELY annoying.
I hadn't thought of it the way you put it, but it makes sense. Thanks!

I am guilty of this myself. When I first came out I was more than happy to make funny of "the femmes", "Trannies", and "queens". However, it was a good friend who helped me to see the cause and to take the proper steps to stop doing it. Now I have friends who are all spectrums and I love them dearly.

Who cares as long as the individual can pay the rent and is acting & living responsibly causing harm to none. If you don't like it and want to tell your roomie, then do it - maybe she''ll get stuck with some job-hopping, closet crack addict who has all of their original parts.

And sorry, someone's genitals are no business of anyone's as a roommate. Things happen, people have their reasons. GOSH! Like...don't you even watch Jerry Springer??? *hair flip and slight eye roll*
