Back in June, when my 2nd year UI ended and congress took their sweet time to sign something and before I knew about the pull forward, I literally spent 3-4 hours a day for 2 weeks on the phone. I went over my minutes on my cell phone and I called my provider, told them the deal, they credited back to me but still, that's a lot. And I wasted all that time. I ended up getting an email addy from someone and she gave my claim to a specialist via email. he fixed everything.

I hate it just as much as you do

you sound like a positive person, and thats commendable, but lets be serious.

95% still have NO IDEA why this has even happpened, and theyre having money taken away already. theyre going to spend 10 minutes just screaming.
there are multiple letters/time periods to waive and/or correct.
and, the ESC did exactly what i feared, looked after their own agency first, and the people second.
this aint gonna be solved this week.

My amount is in there minus the 50%. I won't try to call today, I have class shortly.
However IF I find out we can appeal and still collect EB (which 'Ill be in ,in 3-4 weeks) then I may pursure it..?
I've lost all trust in most anything they(NCESC) tells me.

I know in the past, IF one qualifies for EB, you must have had NO diqualifications in the benefit year as the EB., and an appeal is classified as just that> win or not.
I'm back inyear one, so if I/we file an appeal doesn't that classify and a disqualification?????

And do I think they'll let us in on this glorious little secret.....????>>>>>NO<<<<<!!!!!
My Overpayment is now paid off as of today, (unless) I recieve more letters today or tomorrow, so I may simply let it be.

Goodluck to all, I'll continue to post here til this ride is over

they may try that, but theyd be wise to waive the disqualification of the waiver (uh, what?) or they are going to have some highly pissed off people in there.
this is THEIR MISTAKE.
most people shouldve been swimming along obliviously, getting their payments, moving from one Tier to another.

as a Journalism degree holder, you can bet that i'm going to be dropping some choice emails across NC today.

was it a 50% deposit? or normal? or something in between?

as for the waivers---- IF they can fix mine (and swap out the weeks) then i wont even bother with the waivers--- b/c i understand that TECHINCALLY i do owe the $ and if they can fix it and swap the weeks thats all i want
i dont mind paying back the $91 i ACTUALLY owe

its a deposit amount that matches up to nothing that i can figure, and i know my way around numbers. i've looked at this from every angle i can think, and cant come up with the deposit amount.
i've worked through it as just the difference in last year/this year, with and without taxes withheld, counting/not counting the dead week that never shouldve happened, counting/not counting the short weeks that never shouldve happened.
it doesnt correlate to anything.
