LOL, I've seen quite a few people like that here in city-data, too.

I swear my toaster is possessed! It works fine for everyone else in the house and keeps breaking on me only! today I couldn't get it to turn off even though it was burning my waffles! Someone put the power strip too close behind the toaster so when I went to unplug it I burned myself pretty good near my palm and it really hurts! I hate toasters!

Prescription prices. I pay cash for all my prescriptions so I always look for a good deal, except for this time. I asked my doctor to call it in using the local pharmacy. You know, trying to support my community. I get there and they want 200% more than if I got it filled at Wal-Mart. So I asked if they could match Wal-Mart. Sure they said, fill out this discount card, which costs $8.00...but they will give me coupons for future use, and they'll match the price. I fill it out...she dissappears...for 20 minutes. Meanwhile my husband is waiting for me in their small parking lot with the car and trailer. After all that, she comes back and says..sorry we can't match it. After 20 minutes..now I am mad and I will never shop there again. Needless to say I left without my prescription but it's the whole principle of the thing. I hate being ripped off and people wasting my time.

Why is it that the same prescription can sell for (large) different prices at different stores? I would imagine a buck or two but not 200% or more different.

Spoiler
Welcome to free enterprise capitalism, and corporate America ~ someone has to pay for the lobbyists

Look at Viagara at $16.00 a pop and it costs less than 50 cents to mfg. I guess you pays for your thrills...

Just have to add: My neighbor's brother is a lobbyist. She hired his son to do some yard work - he was there for about a 1 1/2 weeks. During that time he came in 4 different BMWs - all belonging to the family. Big big bucks came from~~~somewhere.

I hate how the PRC is out doing us in almost everything we were once very good at.

The Olympics, they're getting better.
Skyscrapers
Shopping malls
Bullet trains
Roads
EVERYTHING!

It's really ticking me off...

I stopped being near all my friends who used to use me, it's sad to say I always knew they did, but I was just to nice on them to ever say no. I hate how I have a hard time saying no to people...

Gosh, saying "NO" is one of the hardest things ever!!
