There's a video of Philly making the rounds on social media. Dunno if it's new but I like it...

The sterotypical local foods of popularity in Philly are the hoagie, and the cheesesteak, and yes, we do these well. Pat's and Geno's are generally touted as the best ones, but I like Jim's at fourth and south. If cholesterol isn't your thing, and youre into a more sophisticated feel, try any of the restaraunts by Steven Starr or Mark Vetri.

For international food, there are tons of great speciality shops- stroll through a neighboorhood and you'll find plenty!
Posted elsewhere, but worth repeating - Headhouse Farmer's Market, part of the Food Trust, on Sundays [122 Lombard St, Philadelphia, PA 19147]. It was featured in a 2015 issue of Cooking Light magazine, and selected as the best in PA. Great selection, knowledgeable management and staff, and wonderful location for not only shopping at the market, but socializing (outdoor cafes, etc.) There are dedicated shoppers that drive up to an hour to come to Headhouse - love it!
