Note to self:

Never leave the candy bowl on the front porch for "serve yourself".

We were cleaned out in 30 minutes.

I didn't do anything this year for Halloween. Just gave out some candy I've had for a month (I rarely ever eat candy myself). So, I turned on my porch light and here they came. The first time they ever came over (because I used to celebrate every year, until this year). I didn't celebrate this year, because it was just the same-ol'-same-ol' you know. Since I got sober, I just don't go to bars to celebrate it anymore.

But I will celebrate next year, for sure, at a more respectable place.

That should be obvious, kids have no self-control. When I was a kid and saw people who left the bowl outside we would take handfuls of candy, if not the entire bowl.

Halloween is becoming a HUGH holiday celebration - for kids of all ages - heck, even my dog was dressed up!

I have no idea how many kids (and their parents!) went through our haunted house and trick or treated - but it was 100's - literally! And every kid was in costume - some were dressed up as "Gunny" (very popular on a Marine Base) - even the Base CO and XO came by. It was a lot of fun!

I love Halloween.
