You shoot a.....JEWISH DEMOCRAT.....in one of the most Republican-leaning states in the country, and Conservatives are outraged that SOME media might try to connect the dots to see.....IF.....it was a politically or religiously motivated murder?
Odds are the guy was an outright NUT CASE.
But as of yet, that is NOT a 100% given, or at least the authorities aren't saying so?

A former Republican, conservative, small business owner who voted against Pelosi for speaker, voted to bring the National Guard to the border.
The killer was crazy, but also way to the left of her, not to mention Beck and Palin.
A whole lot more credible at this point than all you people claiming he belonged to the Republican party or Tea Party movement - at least she actually knew him. You guys are just making up the connections with conservatives parties.

I am absolutely shocked at what you are saying in this post about a GOP fund raiser where people took turns shooting at pictures of Gifford! How can any Republican defend that kind of hateful actions involved in selecting our representatives through the election process? How can anyone say this sort of thing, and some of the things that Palin and Angler says, isn't adding fuel to the minds of sick individuals? The GOP needs to take a long, hard look at themselves and their part in empowering the crazies among us.
They can't defend it (although they'll sure try). That's the point.
Just to be clear, his "high school friend" hasn't been interviewed by police yet, and any major news outlets.

update, just watched the full video. She didn't say anything about any one particular political view. In fact, she said he was political, but declined to say he said anything about the current political environment.

Some of you are trying to make sense of his actions as if he was a normal person. I can tell you having grown up with a schizophrenic parent that you just can't expect them to behave like a normal person. Nothing ever made sense so it's a waste of time to try. They hear voices, they're paranoid, they don't trust anyone but they believe the voices and they can hurt the very people they love the most (those are powerful voices). The adult form usually starts to show around age 19 which seems to coincide with what they're saying is a turning point for him, not sure if it was 2007 or 2008. It's a terrible illness. So forget trying to figure out why if he seemed like a lefty did he shoot democrats. You're spinning your wheels for nothing.

This is the Republican Party of Joe Arpaio, Russ Pearce and JT Ready. The line between Republican and National Socialist disappeared when Janet Naploitano left. I usually get suspended for pointing this out but the coincidence that Giffords was a Jewish liberal makes you wonder how supposedly main stream Republicans like McCain and Kyl can support these thugs
