Jared Loughner YouTube Videos, MySpace Suggest Alleged Shooter May Have Ties To Hate Group
The same group whose members made death threats against Judge John Roll.

This cannot be a coincidence.

That's just the kind of talk that creates an environment for this shootings and other acts of violence.

That is part of American history. When various groups find they are not getting what they want through the political process they resort to violence.

I read that there were death threats against Judge Roll, but I didn't see anything that said American Renaissance was responsible for it. Do you have more information?

1. "Everyone", meaning one person who hasn't seen him for 4 years.

2. Pot, meet Kettle.

No one seems to have a problem with that - that's free speech of course, can't be censored - even though he clearly wanted Bush killed.
Is he a politician? I mean, it's not right, but politicians should be a little more circumspect.

Point being, people on both sides will turn anything into a political debate - yes, even your precious conservatives. You can literally post "the sky is green" on this forum, and within an hour you'll have 10+ pages of debate over who's to blame... the conservatives for brainwashing us into thinking it's green, or the liberals for being too stoned to realize it's actually blue. So don't pretend the conservatives are innocent, because this whole thread would be a mirror image if a Republican had been shot. This behavior is sad, yes, but hardly a one-sided flaw.
One of CD's own said the same thing. Has anyone called her on it? (The thread is closed, so I can only post a link.)

Roger Barnett is affiliated with American Renaissance. The death threats were made against Roll when he refused to drop the civil rights lawsuit against Barnett and rejected a motion by Barnett's lawyer saying that illegal immigrants have no rights and therefore didn't have standing to sue Barnett. AmRen made over 200 death threats against Roll.

Except it is completely unrelated to this incident, as far as we know.

Default Callers To The CSPAN Line Concerning Tucson Shootings

One lady very adamnately stated that the biggest problem in our country was that there's no longer prayer in schools. She says our youth have no moral values and don't care.

My take on it, having been tutored in religion and assigned bible verses to memorize each week while I was in the third and fourth grades in McKenzie and Milan, TN is...Thank Goodness At Least One Third Of A Child's Authority Figures Is Not Allowed to Pray And Teach Religion. The parents and the church are already reinforcing the bible to 85% of youngsters in this country. When that percentage of our youth are being brainwashed by 2/3rds of their authority figures what chance does anything else have. Maybe the lady would like it if the government forced a Christian Theocracy on us...Ya Think?

There is no need for any kind of damage control.
I'm afraid when somebody says "Don't retreat, reload" they have to be held accountable for their rhetoric. When you combine her comments with using crosshairs to denote Congressional districts that should be "Targeted" the combination is one that leads to an enviormment where people with extreme views advocate violence. As a public figure Sarah Palin is responsible for contributing to the tone of political discourse in this country.

I see that Barnett is affiliated with American Renaissance, but do you have verifiable evidence that it was American Renaissance members who made the death threats?
