I agree - every candidate should prove that they are eligible to run for the presidency.

The birth issue is not about skin color - it is about the constitution.

One doesn't need a bachelors degree in geography to know that - the states and their capitals are usually covered by the third grade.

Yes, they should. How many times must Obama show his authentic birth certificate before anyone gets it. Yes, Hawaii is attached to the earth and part of the United States. However, it's not an island. It's an archipelago which is a chain of islands. The biggest one is named Hawaii, but the one where Honolulu is located is Oahu which is where Barack Obama was born.

Baloney! If it's about the Constitution, then it wouldn't be on the table in the first place. Obama was born in Honolulu which is on the Hawaiian island Oahu. He showed it to the public even though it's a confidential document. For all those so-called "experts" to get ahold of his birth certificate, they would have to violate his 4th Amendment Right which is the Right to Privacy.

This has already been covered. The anti-birthers readily acknowledge that not all birthers are motivated by race - there are some crazy ones out there who are driven by their hatred. But many truly are concerned about the constitutional issue.

I am disliked in the birther threads because I refuse to take a position and prefer to stay neutral. That - and I point out that it is counterproductive to make this a racial issue.

The truth should stand on its own merits without the excess baggage of racial overtones.

Uhh Jesse Jackson did run - he even won the South Carolina primary. Research the 1988 Democratic Presidential Nomination race.

White supremacy and plutocracy? (shakes head)

You really need to quit reading or listening to left wing propagandists and begin learning some truth. When you spout outlandish rhetoric like that - you discredit yourself and the position you are trying to defend.

First you must learn to speak French. I want to learn how to forge a Canadian birth certificate. I'd like to know how I can do that.

I'm not listening to left-wing propagandists. I've connected the dots and figured it out for myself. It's called "critical thinking" - something of which the Tea Baggers and birthers are clearly incapable. Jesse Jackson may have won the 1988 South Carolina primary because there were lots of black voters and Southern Baptists there - seeing he was a minister - but he didn't stand a chance against George Bush. One state doesn't do much of anything. Look at all the ones Rick Santorum won in the South, and he dropped out of the race today.

You have connected the dots and figured out that there is a mainstream political faction whose aims are white supremacy? Could you support your claim with some evidence - so that the rest of us peons can be so enlightened?
