I would definitely take that which is completely metabolized and gone from my system in just an hour or two.
That rules out pot for sure because it remains in the system and causes it's effect long because it's gets stored up in the body. I'm not sure you can ever lose it's effects completely and I don't want to go through life with that "Oh wow" "Oh groovy" kind of look. Potheads never seem to lose that look.
The bottle of beer I had the night before however is completely out of my system the next morning.

And I WORK 55 - 60 hours every week. This message for all you that try to judge something from propaganda. Lazy is lazy. Workers are workers. It has NOTHING to do with pot smoking.

Pot heads are often out of their minds and can get VERY violent. I don't know where you get this non-violent connection.
Anybody who was violent without smoking pot will be violent after they smoke pot. Ask your local police how many violent stoned people they arrest vs violent drunk people. There is a decades long history that back this up. Can't imagine why anybody would ever think otherwise.
Were you in jail that you seem to be so sure that the violent inmates were all pot smokers?
