Here in Canada- the places that give out medical marijuana actually charge you a profitable price...and they tax you also- so the government is already in the early stages of legalization and regulation- They want to figure out if they can control it like alcohol and tobacco...They don't care if it is good for society or not- all they care about is the money...just the money...
We don't need government to tax and regulate what we eat, drink and smoke.
Government should have no power to tell me what to eat, drink or smoke.
Perhaps part of the reason the Feds don't want to legalize pot is that they know a lot of ailments would be helped with this plant, and the truly dangerous pharmaceutical business would lose it's grip.
Oh well! Too bad for them!
As for the question. I like both options. While I do feel pot is safer than alcohol, people should have the option to choose.
Sorry bud, the ones in jail that were violent were pot smokers.
I had pot head with one of those $40 notes from a doctor that advertises in porn magazines here in CA deciding to make threats against me and had to have the turd removed and arrested.
Pot heads are often out of their minds and can get VERY violent. I don't know where you get this non-violent connection.
Did you ever stop to think that it was probably the other drugs that caused their violent tendencies? Such as alcohol (which is legal), or coke, or meth, bath salts, heroin, or even legal prescription drugs. All are highly addictive, and can cause people to do crazy things, and even make someone committ a violent crime to get their fix. Did you ever stop to think that the weed may have kept them chilled out, and it just so happens that because the THC molecule stays in their system longer than the other crap is why it's the pot that gets blamed? I mean seriously, I've never heard of the run of the mill pot head knocking over a convenient store to get his fix!
I worked as a DJ in bars and nightclubs for many years, and I can tell you alcohol causes way more drama and makes people do more stupid things than weed does.
personally i would rather partake on the good old natural bush
Let's say two people are in a car accident, one is drunk, the other is high. We have breath and blood tests to determine if a person is drunk, we cannot run a blood test to determine if the other person is high. We can even place a breathalyzer in a car to stop a drunk from driving, we can't do the same for a pot smoker.
That is my problem with legalizing pot, how are we supposed to keep the streets safe from legalized pot, if there is no way to crack down on drug impaired drivers?

alcohol is way more intoxicating than weed, weed should be the legal of the two, would be way way way less deaths associated with it...
