It's merit based - kid got a 3.75gpa and was a football star, that's how it goes.

If liberals feel that kids shouldn't benefit from their parent's wealth, then they should also feel that kids shouldn't be punished for their parent's wealth.

A) Not if he earned it.

B) Only if his daddy supports obama and his "fairness" policy.

C) If I were a wealthy person, I would not even apply for scholarship.....there are others who actually need it.

Although I think Puffy combs is a talentless idiot who made a fortune off ripping off other peoples songs and Biggies murder...... his son sounds like he actually EARNED this scholarship....

His son sounds like he has much more talent than his dad..... go son

I have to agree with you, besides if he is on a football scholarship he will help make the school millions anyway, so who is paying who?

Excellent comment.

The kid EARNED that scholarship and I find it highly insulting that people would even consider asking him to give it back.

Especially since politically connected families in my home state of Illinois have been getting not only admission but big scholarships for their kids that would otherwise not even qualify to get into places like U of IL.

This. I wouldn't have even applied. A $54k scholarship is HUGE for most people. Pocket change for Daddy.

Some of us don't even make that in a year.
