The kid worked hard, got good grades, obviously was a good athlete, all from working hard and he should get what he earned not what daddy can pay for. This whole thing is ridiculous.
UCLA, just like any other Division I school, is allowed to have 85 football players with a scholarship. UCLA didn't give a spot on the team to Diddy because of who his dad is. They gave him that scholarship because he is sufficiently talented to earn the spot.
Diddy could have declined the scholarship and been a walk-on player. UCLA probably has 20 or so walk-on players. But Diddy earned it and there is no reason he shouldn't have the player status he earned. Hopefully his dad does good things with his wealth.
Something's fishy here. According to both Scout and Rivals, the relatively short Justin Combs of the non-high school football hotbed of New York is only a two star player.
How's UCLA going to get to the top giving football scholarships to low-rated recruits from lousy football states? Somebody's wasting taxpayer money!

I wonder how many 2 star recruits are on UCLA's roster? Do you have that info to compare? UCLA aint the SEC by a long shot.

This.
I save for my kids' educations but if they get a scholarship (and I expect them to get some sort of scholarship) you better believe I won't give any of it back no matter how much money I have saved or how much I am making at the time.
P Diddy's son EARNED the scholarship, I wouldn' give back sh*%. I'd tell all the envious liberal/communist who want to take from the rich to kiss my ass.

According to ESPN, Combs is supposed to be the #7 recruit in NY this year. That probably counts for a spot somewhere in Div1 fball. Anyway, it's only the Bruins. They're also-rans in the Pac-12, so hes the best they could do.
