Most people will blast him for saying this because they can't possibly understand what he's trying to say and others won't even try to.
I think the President should have taken that under consideration before he spoke and that's a shame.
I'm not sure what to think about the President speaking out. Of course he knows that speaking like he did will ignite verbal rioting on the right.
But blacks in positions of power are always constrained by the threat of antagonism that whites hold over them if they speak to matters of race. So perhaps, as a second term president, he decided to break free and speak his mind.
So I take it that 35 years ago Obama was jumping out of bushes and attacking "creepy ass crackas" while slamming their heads into the ground and pounding their face while they screamed for help?
If that's the case, then I guess he could very well had been Trayvon Martin...
I'm truly disgusted that Obama decided to speak on the case-he should have shut his mouth. But no...he has to flame the fire-
And he clearly had his facts wrong-this isn't about Stand Your Ground..
This is a much bigger issue than racism...I am disgusted that the federal government is getting involved-where was the federal government when Casey Anthony was not guilty? Where was the federal government when OJ was found not guilty?
We can all sit around and tell our tales of woe about racism...or maybe people can stand up and try to unite the country-or maybe stand up and tell the federal government to keep their fat noses out of the state's business. If anyone should be pissed-be pissed at the prosecution-they should have never tried this case-they should have allowed the grand jury to look at the evidence and decide.
And where is the outcry over the prosecution withholding evidence?
It's the kind of statement a guy with a personality disorder would make.
It was one more Me, Me, Me, I, I, I speech.
He lost another golden opportunity to be a leader.
