Every individual healthcare policy carried a variable lifetime cap.

I consider it a crisis when someone blows through that cap and has their healthcare insurance cancelled.

Those insurance policies were dropped because they either covered next to nothing or paid themselves too much . Both are not allowed with the new ACA law. People will now be able to get BETTER insurance coverage.

yes, and I consider it a crisis when people have their policies cancelled by the MILLIONS, and cant afford new pricier policies, or even worse, their yearly deductible...

Remind me again why $6K a year deducible is affordable, but $6 a month birth control pills were far to expensive for people to pay for.

How does $6K a year deducible equate to better coverage?

How is NO coverage, better than "low" coverage?

Many thought that Obamacare would further remove people from the costs of care, making the cost spiral even worse. But the actual ACA-compliant policies have such large deductibles and large co-pays and, for people who used to have good coverage, sharply higher out-of-pocket maximum exposure. (Mine went from $6,000 to over $12,000 per year, for example.)

So a lot of people will be looking at those deductibles and foregoing doctor visits and medical treatments, which will reduce cost pressures. Overuse is not going to be the issue that many thought, because a large fraction of the ACA-insured population will not be able to afford actual care. (Except for FREE PHYSICALS, Yay!) Some problems turned up in the free physicals will go untreated, or will bankrupt the paycheck-to-paycheck crowd just like the olden days.

Within a few months, when people start to get bills for several thousand dollars to cover deductibles and copays, the noise to reform the health care reform will get very loud, I predict.
What insurance company are you with that has such a high deductable?

Must be one big fat coincidence of the timing.. Really? Are you that nieve?
All healthcare insurance terminates on an annual basis. The insurer is free to cancel or change the plan. The insurer is free to not renew. The insurer is free to increase premiums.

40-50 attempts to repeal ACA probably created increased uncertainty about the ACA and is the reason why individual plan insurers did not give their policy holders a heads up. The large group plan insurers who insure 80+% of the people in the U.S. have been working with their corporate clients since ACA became law.

You didnt answer the question.

Why would an insurance company cut 40% of their customers like one of them have done..

I know all about what they can do, but you havent explained why one would do such a thing if its not ACA caused.

Guess you are not aware of the subsidies.

The fact is some folks are losing their insurance.
The fact is some folks benefits are changing for the worse.
The fact is some folks premiums are skyrocketing.
The fact is some folks do not get a subsidy to make it "affordable."

The fact is... you, nor the government have any right to be telling these folks what is or isn't good...
Everything you posted can apply to insurance companies before the ACA law. Remember the reason Medicare came into existence.
