First of all, I have no opinion on the topic regarding Islam and rape.

Funny story about this. Back in college I inherited an English edition of the koran from a friend who was a philosophy student. I decided to read it to see what all the fuss was about. So, I began to read it like a normal book. I couldn't make any sense out of it.

I finally asked my friend for help. I told her no matter how hard I tried I could not make sense of it.

She told me "you're suppose to read it from the right to left, dumbass". As soon as I got back to my dorm, I opened it from the right and sure enough it now made sense. But by then, I had lost interest so I only read the first couple pages and never read any further.

Anyway, just FYI to those who wants to read the koran. You're suppose to read it from right to left.

That is a fair question, given the current, post literate state of society. In college, while my room mates were playing quarters, I read it right after I read Schopenhauer.
