Okay so it's a Black Lives Matter protest/demonstration thing, and apparently the snipers and cop killers were black. Well that's sure going to make a mess!! Massacring cops is not going to endear them to your cause!
Granted there's a lot of uncertainty at this point. We might find out in the next week that the shooters were Pakistanis or Chinese or something like that. But all indications currently are that the perps are/were black.
CNN is already bringing on "mothers" who are whining that they think a situation was created where police and others wouldn't necessarily be able to tell for all the open carrying who the good guys with guns vis-à-vis bad guys were.
But guess what? None of the good guys with guns were confused with the perps.
I'd have to lean towards this being planned more so than not. You can plan for an engagement without knowing the exact place of the engagement. The basic rules of engagement will apply in any location.

We have no idea what race the shooter/snipers are.
The people AT THE PROTEST are saying how upset they are that anyone, including the police, was hurt. This was a very peaceful gathering till the snipers opened fire.
Sounds disingenuous. BLM has been riling up its followers all over the country.
