Let's hope these two idiots don't escalate an already delicate situation and force tens of thousands of troops to put their lives in danger because each of them has to have the last word.
Which President has been able to handle the North Korea situation? The fact that NK has developed its missile technology to be able to hit the USA and may have miniaturized a warhead to be carried on the missile suggests that the policies of at least the last two Presidents have been an utter failure.
So what do we do next? More 'engagement' which gives NK even more time to develop its offensive capability?
I hope Trump remembers and is taking a refresher course in the Cuban Missile Crisis, which occurred in October, 1962, when he was in high school ( as I also was) and was quite old enough to comprehend the danger then threatening the United States.
I'm not sure what, if any point you are trying to make. The saying, "don't make ultimatums you are unprepared to keep", has been around for decades, frequently addressing how NOT to deal with addicts, alcoholics, and other manipulative individuals.
Reason being, when you make an ultimatum and fail to carry through with it, the individual knows they have the power over you and will continue to manipulate you. Fairly applicable to most life situations.

True. I don't trust Trump to not strike first though. I think a nuclear standoff with North Korea is inevitable at this point, unless we can impeach Trump now. That isn't happening so nuclear war here we come. My hope is that it doesn't escalate beyond NK to become a full-scale nuclear holocaust.
