I think Muslims and Africans would want to go to Places like Norway because it is European. They go there not for good life but for war with Europeans, Norway will not be spared.

It's less they wouldn't want to live here and more "why move half way around the world?"
Many marry Americans or obtain residency because they own homes in Florida, or something like that.

But thinking that living in the USA is so appealing to the typical European is nothing more than simple delusion on the part of Americans.

(see the second report, among others. You'll notice that immigration from Europe is significantly lower than from Asia, Africa, and the ME. It's VERY low from Scandinavian countries).

It would probably be more interesting to see the immigration numbers from which classes. I notice alot of european professionals in stem fields in the states, certainly in aerospace. Alot of the Asian and European automobile industry is based in the south and certainly tons of techies from europe moving to Silicon valley, Austin,Boston,NYC etc

From what I've seen, the people who are lining up for immigration (not talking about illegals) are educated people who would like to make more money than they could in their own country. Therefore, you get a lot of doctors from India and people from Viet Nam. They do better here than they would back home.

There is no reason for someone from a decent place like Norway to come here unless it's to marry an American. Norway and many other countries offer a better quality of life than is available to most people here. Some of the Scandinavian countries have the happiest people on earth--no worrying about getting a disease and not being able to get medical care, no worrying about not having enough to eat--less stress=more relaxing, better life.
People from Europe were coming here in the millions, including Scandinavians, when the US had millions of blacks in bondage!

I bet very few emigrate to countries outside their region, and those who make big moves are probably similar between places like the US and Australia.
In what ways is the US similar to a country like Norway?

Do you think Norwegians share a love of Trump? Do you think they'd be willing to give up their universal healthcare in which no one goes broke? Do you think they'd give up their 6 weeks + of vacation time, a minimum of one year paid maternity/ paternity leave? Do you think they'd defend the 2nd Amendment, even after 20 Connecticut families buried their first graders?

Would you call them "libta*d snowflakes" because they fervently believe in the public good -- you know, those pathetic "collectivist" values I've seen you conservatives on here denigrate? Or would you welcome and accommodate their values?

What does it matter if Norwegians and other white Westerners want to come to America or not? Some do and if we had a proper and sensible immigration policy like we did before the 1965 Immigration Act we could kill 2 birds with one stone, the excessive immigration levels and the quality or merit and compatibility of the immigration.

In accordance with America's western origins in 1609 and ~85% white western demographics up until the decades following the mass globalized immigration policy of the 1965 Act, ~85% of our immigrants should be of white western heritage. So if say only 85,000 European westerners want to immigrate per year, we'd only get about 15,000 non-western immigrants and a reasonable 100,000 immigrants/year. Those non-western immigrants should be form allied, friendly nations that have a historical track record of not being crapholes.

I know (or am acquainted with) a fair number of Norwegians who have immigrated to America or at least live here several months of the year.

When you are related to a Norwegian immigrant, you tend to meet others.

The ones I know came to the US for various different reasons, certainly not to mow grass or wash dishes for minimum wage like most immigrants, though.
