Since TDS exploded on the scene in early November 2016, we've observed the progress of the disease through the stages.

1. Denial,
2. Anger and outrage,
3. Shunning of former colleagues who support Trump,

4. Conversion, as the first 3 factors combine, and if no countervailing thoughts are allowed entry into the TDS sufferer's brain (for reasons we do not understand yet). When liberalism (and TDS) reaches this late stage? It permanently disable perception and logic? They have come to admire Stormy Danials, which ought to be the marker for the terminal stage.

By the way Ariadne22, in your emotional effort you posted a page not found

Psychologists and other observers have concluded that Donald Trump may suffer from narcissistic personality disorder. He is an egomaniac with delusions of grandeur. Trump is also profoundly ignorant, and as the Atlantic pointed out in a blistering condemnation during the 2016 campaign, "he appears not to read." His movement possesses the attributes of a political cult. Trump is now also the leader of a Republican Party (and broader conservative movement) that acts more like a religion than a functional political organization interested in responsible governance."

I see this constantly on this forum, and I'm not sure if people who constantly go on about it realize that nobody actually thinks this is a disorder.

It's just a nuisance where people toss it casually into any attempt to hold a conversation where parties are not in agreement.
I've used the term TDS. Though I think some opponents of Trump and Obama have a disorder, you'll never see an official disorder classification for them.

Interesting you start a thread calling TDS "a nuisance where people toss it casually into any attempt to hold a conversation where parties are not in agreement." I see many more negative characterizations of Trump supporters casually tossed about when there are disagreements; many show up in this very thread. In fact, the article you quote isn't exactly conducive to conversation.

Trump Derangement Syndrome(TDS) is a real mental illness.
Tests and studies have proved it is caused by an airborne pathogen, called verbal stupidity.
The symptoms are, a lack of reasoning, leading to irrational behavior, with the needle in their moral compass, deformed drastically.
The only cure is to be RED PILLED. To straighten the needle on their moral compass, to increased their value in society.

Since trump wants to deny health care to millions no one can afford your "red pill" so the only other remedy is to keep a watchful eye on trump and call out every lie he tells.I hear it's good for the soul!

The relation is denying that the left is defending MS-13 .

The relation is that Trump calling them animals is somehow abnormal.

Given what MS-13 has done and is capable of, the term "animals" is being generous.

The relation is that the Left is making excuses for Samantha Bee calling Trump's daughter a c*** and trying to make it relative to things that Rosanne Barr said....

It has nothing to do with what Rosanne said....it's a completely separate issue and the only reason the Left is defending her use of the term is because it's being used against Tump/Trump's family.

If it had been ANY Conservative using that word about ANY Liberal female they would be LIVID and calling for their head on a stake.

Then, Trump elected president, there were emotional crackups. On the internet, people crying and screaming and cursing the election results, celebrities claiming they would leave the country. Colleges had cry-ins and gatherings for primal screams. Students were provided therapy dogs, coloring books, Play-Doh, and videos of playful kittens and puppies. The ongoing liberal response to Clinton’s defeat. They call it Trump derangement syndrome.

Evidence of continuing Trump derangement syndrome can be found in the calls for his impeachment by members of Democrat Congress... Maxine Waters, Al Green, and Brad Sherman.

The accusation of Russian collusion started with a Russian dossier that the Hillary camp paid for ... Russia, Russia, Russia and on and on, yet still no evidence. Next setting their sites on a porn ho while liberals continued to tune in daily in hopes that she will bring Trump down (keeping liberal media viewership up and making liberal pundits rich).

More evidence is standing for something but when Trump agree's immediately being against it. Of course I could go on and on...
This.

I will never ever forget this.

I was reservedly surprised of Trump's Election 2016 victory, but not so much locally. I live in a conservative enclave of one of the most liberal and poor sections of Southeastern Colorado. I've seen posted signs all over the town supporting Trump and Pence at the residential level, commercial, as well. There was some Hillary Clinton support, but surprisingly not so much, nothing like that for Obama.

I liked The Apprentice show pretty well, wasn't a huge fan of Trump himself, but didn't dislike the man. I thought he would be a rough boss to work for, finding his children to be fair. The philanthropy of the show was the draw.

I would be the last person to pick Trump to lead the Republican Party, having hopes for Marco Rubio or Cruz or Ben Carson or Rand Paul or... I always hated Chris Christie, especially since seeing him cross the river into Philadelphia to watch the Cowboys with Jerry Jones.

I had no reason to side with Donald J Trump. But when I saw how fiercely folks on the left bashed Trump, I smelled fear.

I saw the ineptitude of the other 16 or so impotent fools in the GOP primaries and their utter inability of them to stand up to the garbage of the lefties, the msm, the "Intelligence" weaponized politicized community, academia, Hollywood, y'all.

President Donald J Trump came in and cleaned Y'alls clocks, he's doing it today, and he's gonna do it tomorrow, the day after that, and the day after that.

I'm just as shocked as y'all are. But I'm joyful.

Never, nor will they admit to being part of Cult 45.

Look, the only derangement here is that of the Trump worshipers. It is an objective statement of fact that Trump is dishonest, a liar, untrustworthy, immature, and saddled with a long history of failing to keep his promises and sticking it to people for petty and immature reasons. He's also a bigot, but I don't expect that to dissuade his hard-core supporters.

So, we're left with a man-child who nobody would seriously trust with their money, house, or wife. Before Trump ran for office as a Republican, he was seen as simply a crude, over-the-top boar - a gross caricature of what wealthy people are, and that was it. But all he had to do was utter the right hatred and say the correct lies, and now the far-right forgets reality and blindly supports him. THAT is derangement.

One amusing example from my personal life is an old right-winger at work. He has 3 adult daughters, lots of guns (oh, does he love his guns!), and he has had made it clear to anyone who asks that if any man "ever messes with his daughters, he'll blow them away."

Aside from how "mature" that attitude is, what of Trump's well-documented habit of cheating on his wife and being a sexual predator? Oh, well... he has every excuse in the book for that, of course! Funny how that works - if Trump messed with HIS daughters, wouldn't he have to "blow him away?" And funny how he forgets that all the women Trump has treated so poorly are OTHER men's daughters - I guess only his deserve protection?

That, right there, is derangement of a cult-like level.

Psychologists were reporting seeing a Trump-related disorder in patients months before the election ... and then it surged just after election. It's real and it's still going.
