What about hotel LOBBY do you not understand? As a frequent traveler, I've frequently suggested that locals or guests from other hotels meet me in my hotel lobby to regroup and then proceed with whatever we're doing. They sometimes arrive in the hotel lobby before I do. There never has been any problem with that, as that's the POINT of hotels having a lobby.

You're the one who suggested hotels should have a locked entrance to the lobby....... If that was so, how could your friends from other hotels meet you in your key entry lobby?

Yes, this is one of many:

The Dec. 22 encounter was captured on cellphone video by Massey, who posted it that night on Instagram, where it was shared widely. In other videos, Massey, 34, acknowledges that he has become part of the continuing documentation, through cellphone videos and social media, of black people being confronted by white authority figures or bystanders while going about their everyday lives.

I've been accused of "internet stalking" for looking through his social media posts, and yet this is what he does - he WANTS people to look through his copious and very public social media posts so I did.

See above link - and there are others that are easy to find. His social media itself is easy to find.

Hmmm, seems to me he's looking for trouble to further an agenda.

Massey stated when asked if he was a guest at the hotel: "“I said: ‘I don’t know, I’m having a conversation right now. Can you leave me alone right now?’ ” Massey recalls in the Instagram videos.

To me, if I'm a security guard and that's your answer, my next answer is: "thanks smartass, the cops are on the way to escort you off the property"

Except that, when he did show it, the guard dismissed it. So it's hard to believe that showing it earlier would've made any difference.

And he should chuck the krap about the fact that he was calling his mom, it was a family emergency, etc., and the media should quit reporting that as if it makes any difference. He could have been calling his bookie, and it would've been no one's business but his.

I just read your link. First thing I saw was poor Mr Massey saying, "I'm afraid to just do normal things now."..........

Oh gawd......... attaboy, you are going to get a BIG payout.

And why would the hotel fire the two so quickly if there was evidence to prove that Massey was being belligerent.

The police officers do not claim he was loud....they claim that was what they were told.
The police officers don't charge Massey with anything.

And what if Massey has been a victim of racism before and caught it on tape......does that mean he's creating the situation or does that mean it just exists.

From Massey's phone tape -- he was not loud or beligerent.
Hilton most likely has a tape of the exchange in the lobby -- but we don't know for sure.
Hold up. The police report clearly states that Massey was very angry and loud. From multiple articles:

Quote:
According to the Oregonian newspaper, a police report described Massey as very angry and loud and said that officers directed him to check out of the hotel because the dispute had escalated.
