"Ya Chuck, I'll take the blame" Because instead of placing blame right where it belongs, the democrats spend their time, looking for someone else to blame for their failures, Trump just got there before Chuckie, as the bigger man.

It is too easy to pull one over on you guys! You take yourselves way too seriously.
Who told lie after lie after lie in their speech to the American people? Hint, it wasn't the Democrats mainly because they didn't talk enough to lie that much...

Here's a thought, a compromise? Offer Trump less than 5.7 billion for a wall, I like the idea of 5.7 million, he doesn't ready anything he signs anyway, but his staff will probably point this out it him. While I'm no fan of Trump and his damn wall, Democrats should at least offer him something, maybe 2 billion, instead of 5.7 Billion. This way Trump can save face and say he got his wall (although a little shorter than he wanted), and Democrats can take credit for reopening the government. At this time it's a stalemate, Trump will not accept anything less than a wall, and he really doesn't care what hardships he makes. and Democrats think so long they can get the public to continue to blame Trump for the shutdown, there's no down side for them.

So, when they say "no," to the very things they were proponents for, Trump knows they are still playing politics and it's a waste of time to talk to these scumbags.

Exactly! Why can't these lefties in this forum see this? Trump was willing to negotiate but Schumer and Pelosi were not. He asked a question and Pelosi resoundingly said NO! What part of that aren't these lefties in here getting?

Well then give the American people the power by recognizing their will!

According to a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released exclusively to The Hill.

The survey found that 56 percent of respondents do not support the president’s proposal to construct a wall along the southern border, compared to 44 percent who do.

Oh stop with the BS that Trump based his decision on what some outsiders had to say about it. So sick of you lefties BS I could puke!

No, Trump never had what he asked for so stop with those lies also.

Off to my dust bin you go. Sick of the lies, spin and parroting over and over in here by you people.
"We are not going to agree to the wall, but we can discuss other border security measures that might satisfy you" is negotiating. That is exactly what the Democratic leadership has said from day one. Trump has said, "no wall, no deal" from day one. That is not negotiating, that is drawing a line in the sand.

No. It's about politicians working to maintain political power while at the same time making huge returns on global corporate lobbying and investments at the expense of middle class people.

The reason Trump won is because anyone with a brain knew that both Democrat and Republican incumbents had been in office way too long and a drastic change was needed.

Trump's insistence on a Wall has to do with his desire for a physical structure to honor his (lack of) masculinity. He just loves to have big, tall, strong, best (pick an adjective which rhymes with any of these) "things" which he can point to as being emblematic of himself.

It's a really, really weak personality problem. Ever notice how he sits with his arms folded, coiled up in a self enforced cocoon? That's the same thing. Weak. Defensive. Afraid. Needs to have "things" around himself to make up for his weakness as a human being.

And? Have any credible evidence the majority of "THE PEOPLE" want the US spending who knows how much $$$ on a continuous 2,000 mile wall? Trump has provided no such thing.

While you're at it, any evidence "THE PEOPLE" wanted corporations getting nice big permanent tax cuts while they were thrown a temporary bone?
