So really then your issue isn’t with a daughter not having a mother. It’s with a daughter having two gay dads.

I do believe that is the orthodox Catholic position on the matter. Fundamentalist of other faiths and Christian groups may see it differently

Obviously, the 61 year would only be the incubator. Not her egg, but her daughter's in this case. Little too close biologically between brother's sperm and sister's egg. Not a good idea. Mom giving birth isn't the issue. More power to her going through a pregnancy at her age.

I get that male gays would have a far more difficult time of having a biological child than a lesbian couple would have. IVF is available to both straight couples and lesbians.

My daughter and her wife just had a son 3 weeks ago. Daughter (aged 40) decided that her wife (aged 32) should be the one to have the IVF. Not quite as complicated as what gay males have to go through having a biological child.

She should not be exposed to such hormones at her age, actually no one should, but especially a post menopausal woman.
Who determines who "should not be exposed"? If she was willing and healthy there is no "should not" as long as she was aware of the risks.

Great! Does anyone have to wonder why the human civilization is self imploding these days?
You have the relationship confused. Reread the link in the OP.

Do you think there are no single dads rearing daughters?

Not the brother's sperm but the brother's husband's sperm. The little girl is by blood Dougherty’s niece and Eledge's daughter.
