Your standard was that they didn't seize ships under Obama. And these were seized AFTER the Obama/Kerry deal was signed. Quite reprehensible of them to make our soldiers bend the knee and under a gun. "Partners" as Obama called them, don't do this.

I get why you constantly move the goal posts. This is another example.

Iran isn't our child, jeff, whom we could tell, no, you can't have the sharp scissors.

They're a sovereign nation. And yes, we absolutely would prefer they were unable to aggress in a meaningful way.

But surely we have to understand they take umbrage with that.
I don't think they would like having to deal with these guys instead...……..

We should be charging every multinational corporation for the protection our military provides globally while the citizens pay zero for it.

The nuclear deal had nothing to do with this, with or without the deal, military ships are not allowed entry into another country’s waters. The ship and the sailors were returned unharmed. There was no upside to our withdrawal, it was a total miscalculation by Trump. This outcome from the sanctions was very predictable this administration doesn’t have the ability to think things through. This is why they called a special meeting of the UN because Iran is violating the agreement from which we withdrew.

The warmongers have been gunning for Iran for years.
Hopefully it blows up in their face.

(of course I guessing that if Trump wasn't president, you'd have no issue)
When it was signed into law, we did not have an income tax
either.
Then they should pay 100% of the military budget.

Do you not realize that it is in Americans’ best interest to protect commercial vessels to ensure that international commerce is not disrupted?

What do you think would happen if Iran shut down the Strait of Hormuz, which would drastically reduce the amount of crude oil available on the international market? Prices at the pump here in the US would soar. I’m all for our Navy protecting commercial vessels from pirates or any other threats. Like Waldo said, that is why our Navy was created in the first place (funny enough that Waldo mentioned it because I disagree with that poster far more often than not).

Equally silly to suggest that the United States must bow down to the conveniences of the slow moving Iranian dictators.
I'm sure the British are is saying thanks but no thanks Trump you've done enough already.
The US has been itching for a fight with Iran since the fall of the Shah of Iran, so yes Trump like much more capable presidents before him will bow to the Persians. He needs to go back to his happy place were he knows his way around and that is picking on women.
