So this guy was doing everything he could as a male to increase his musculature and masculinity, even to the extent of competing in men's weightlifting, until 2013. Give me a break.
Not only was she a mediocre competitor before her transition, but now she'll be competitive - at age 43, long after most (especially super heavy) lifters have retired. Are we to believe that she is really an extremely genetically gifted female athlete, or that maybe mtf trans have an advantage that a year of hormone therapy does not negate?
For anyone not very familiar with the sport, the super heavy lifters generally can't compete in more than 1 or 2 Olympics. Likely due to the cruel punishment of the heavy weights. And most lifters are done by 30, maybe 35 in extreme cases. 43 years old. 43
If this type of thing is allowed to continue, eventually there will be two teams for all sports: one made of boys/men, and the other made up of transgender girls/women. Biologic girls and women won’t stand a chance.
I honestly hope all trans men win and win big. The liberals who say they are pro women can enjoy women getting slaughtered at competitive sports. You wanted this. Enjoy it!
This weightlifter winning would be kind of funny, but I really want to see a white man dominate women's sprinting. The reaction to that would be priceless.
A trans weightlifter who was born a male but identifies as female will be allowed to compete against biological women in the olympics for weightlifting. Good luck to the ladies who trained for years to get to this place. You will need it.

So true. I went to high school with a guy on the tennis team who spent summers in Ft. Lauderdale, next door to Chris Evert. Nobody ever heard of him, and he never made it beyond regionals. Yet, he consistently beat the #1 female tennis champion in the world.
Shows what a tremendous physical advantage biological males have over females.
A "trans woman" is a man who likes to pretend he's a woman. I've got no problem with him, he can pretend whatever he wants. If he says he "identifies as a woman", fine, that's his choice.
But if he wants others to "identify him as a woman", that's a different matter. Whether the others are sports people organizing women's sports teams, or a prison warden who has a women's prison. If such organizations, there are clear and immutable reasons why men should not be part of the group.
At the very least, you'd have to ask every one of the women involved, if they have any objection to a man joining the group simply because he likes to pretend he's a woman. I have a hunch you will encounter a lot of resistance. And it is certainly not right to force the women to "accept" the man when they are in fact not accepting.
To force "acceptance" of a man, just because he likes to pretend he's a woman, would be the height of idiocy.
