Put Grandma in jail for caring about innocent cats, but turn their heads when real criminals commit crimes - I hate some people in this country. Legit, actually hate some people in this country who are too stupid to be taking up so much space.
I agree. I can't turn my back to a small, hungry, living thing.

There can be a lot of problems brought on by feral cats that can impact people and their pets. So I understand why her neighbors were complaining.

Granny got four citations since 2017 and didn't pay heed, so what are they supposed to do? It's hard to feel sorry for someone who has little regard for her neighbors.

Yep.

This couldn't happen if people weren't willing to abuse grannies for a paycheck.

So, some of you are ok with dozens of feral cats digging up your yards, flower beds, gardens, etc. Tearing up your trash. Scratching your cars. Defecating on your porch. Tearing up your window screens. And doing all kinds of damage to your property. That is why the law against feeding them. The old woman should probably be in a mental health facility.

Maybe she should be. But in the REAL STORY I posted, she's been skating since 2015--with more and more cats showing up and more and more crap appearing in her neighbors' yards.

And as I said, THIS 10-day sentence is for CONTEMPT. The 10-day sentence for feeding strays was back in May, and it was suspended because she agreed to knock it off. She didn't. But she called CNN.

Meanwhile, dozens of cats were removed from INSIDE her home, and maybe now the feral cat problem will be addressed by people whose concern is to actually help them.

This woman is sly like a fox. I can't believe what suckers people are, when they obstinately refuse to acknowledge that they've been had.

There's feral cats all over the place here. Not one bit of that happens. The homeless tear up the trash. People destroy other people's property. People scratch other people's cars. I don't live in San Francisco, but last I heard, it was people defecating in the streets - maybe that includes porches. Cats bury their turds, they don't leave them lying around. People do all of these things, not a single cat that has come by here has ever done any of those things.

In fact, not a single stray cat has ever done any of this anywhere I've ever lived. But people have.

Anyone who would turn their back on a hungry, innocent animal because they put their stupid porch over a living, breathing creature, should probably be in a mental health facility.

We got tired of the neighbors who had at least 27 cats. They tore up everything. We have very few homeless here. The ones we have don't do damage.

If I had a cat, I would name him "Donald" and try not to GRAB him too often!

Of course. That's not news. That was her intention all along.

Then, when it happens again--and it will-- we'll read that, among her other citations, she had TWO 10-day sentences which were suspended.

I don't care even a little bit.
