I'd vote for literally anyone before I voted for DeSantis.

I know nothing about Newsome because he’s not really in the news. And DeSantis is shrinking in the polls with all the laws and nonsense he’s doing in Florida. So neither one I guess. And those saying that people move to Florida because of DeSantis are delusional. They move for the weather. But pretty soon they will be moving back up north because it’s getting way to hot there.

Now that will be a show. What’s interesting- Did Gavin declare he is running? I’ve been busy and not kept up. But if he hasn’t- why debate ??

No state is growing faster than Florida.

Sometimes pols engage in activities and travel to test the waters or build a national brand prior to declaring.

There’s a pretty good chance Joe’s going to wander off after this term and Newsome wants to be first or second in line should there be a primary.

Sure, we can try and look at LA and compare to Miami, but then we're no longer talking California vs Florida but LA vs Miami.

And, from being to both cities, Miami and LA are very comparable in terms of density, just LA is far larger. A quick google search shows LA peaks at 90,000 and Miami at 80,000.

Sunny Isles (Miami-Dade metro) is the densest city outside of NYC in 13th place, meanwhile Maywood (LA metro) is not far behind in 16th place: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...lation_density

So really, about the same if you ask me. Just LA is a few Miami's put together.

I lived in LA/OC/'The Southland' for the better part of a decade as an adult, and I've been to over 90% of the cities in the U.S. with over 100k people (some dense places), and I've never even heard of the 25 to 26k population 1.17 square mile Maywood. My bad.

As much as I despise Newsom, he is most likely going to come out the winner in pretty much any debate. He is like a smarmy used car salesman with a perfect gift of gab, perfect smile, and perfect hair.
