In my city, Gays have special taxpayer paid for rainbow street and sidewalk markers, something that no other group or race or religion would ever get. If they did, you can bet Gay bigots would be on the front lines in protest.

Some conservative Christians who believe the Bible is inerrant HAVE to be close-minded. It's a defense mechanism which allows them to ignore their own internal conflict and to maintain their self-image in the face of all the contradictory, sometimes downright silly rules in the conservative interpretations of their Bible.
