Nope, just an observation. Do carry on with the "debate".
Still waiting on you to explain why its ok for the gov that is deeply in debt like never before. That is having to borrow money to pay bills now just printing money to pay bills Because china said no more loans., Can have a conference on tax payers dime
But a company that borrowed money from the gov is told by the gov they cant have a conference on taxpayers dime. Which borrowed less then the 1st one that borrowed.
Im sorry if you didnt understand the Bush reference, but Im kinda tickled that you think "delusianne" must be more than one person.obviously such a comment wouldnt change the course of the conversation.
You WERE deflecting it however hoping to go in another direction....
For whatever reason, they said no teleconferencing would be allowed.
Anyway it'll be interesting to see if they put a moratorium on things like this in the coming months and years, penny-pinching though they may be. OR if they take my brilliant advice and do it all locally (except the airfare).
Yes like they are going to say that teleconference would have worked and then there would be no excuses to have a small vacation on taxpayers dime.

How come one is ok but the other isnt.
It's not ok for the government to waste taxpayer money. Ever. But can you explain why (other than your own blind hatred) you think Obama is personally responsible for the cost of this conference? Do you think he made the plans? Looked at the budget? Signed the checks?

Who cares what they said....Obama or his admin should have put a stop to it as it shows a double standard.

He knew about what private companies were planning to do after they accepted the people's money in a bailout....perhaps Obama and his admin should pay attention to what is happening in their OWN house????

I stand corrected. Unfortunate choice of words, DOD probably ultimately pays my salary.

I don't recall it ever being an issue during the bush years.
Why would it have been then, and why is it now?
