Why should you feel guilty for events you had nothing to do with?
As a German do you feel guilty for murdering Jews?
Guilt in an abstract, collective way, not in a personal way. Of course I did not murder any Jew or Herero, but still I would feel odd going to Namibia. The funny thing is that those people there are so generous and forgiving they would probably be relatively kind to me, which would make me feel even more ashamed and humbled.
In theory I have the same feeling about Jews, however the difference is that Israelis are on average themselves not good people, so my feelings are limited to the European Jews who actually suffered from my ancestors, not modern Israelis.

Yes they ended Apartheid by allowing it to go to a referendum.
One way or another, apartheid was going to end. It was a certainty.

Is it a problem for you NOW?
Do you support racist gov. policies sometimes and not others?
There is no more apartheid. There is no comparison whatsoever between the policies of the ANC and those of the Boer apartheid regime. Have you answered my question? Still waiting.
It was not an invasion, the Dutch settled in an area that was pretty much void of any tribes except for the Khoikhoi who they traded with. It was not an invasion, they did not throw any one off their land. In fact, most of the tribes that occupy areas in south Africa now, are not indigenous to the area, most were from central and northern Africa.

And your synopsis is a selective rendering of history written by those who stole the land.

There is tribal warfare, genocide and slavery between black Africans that has been going on for thousands of years, yet I see no pizzing and moaning about that. There seems to be a band wagon that certain posters here jump on whenever there is a thread about a predominately white controlled nation about oppression and so forth, but there is never anything said about the genocide of blacks, perpitrated by other black tribes. where in the hell is all the uprising about that! I guess this is turning into another, beat up whitey guilt thread
