Yeah, he put on a real show last night. For a second I thought the same thing, but then I realized there was just no way that could be given what happened. The Falcons had no choice but to let him go. It would have been bad for the team and city if he was kept on the roster when he went to jail. The team certainly couldn't sit idly by waiting for him to get back.
Also, I remember back when all that mess was going down, I saw an interview where Arthur Blank said that he always felt like he had a close bond with Michael Vick. When he first started getting into trouble, Vick promised Blank that there was nothing else going on and when something did happen a few months later, Blank felt betrayed. Once you lose faith in someone, particularly one of your employees, there isn't much that can be done to repair it.
Besides, we have a great quarter back in Matt Ryan. He may not have Vick's level athleticism (who really does?), but he has one quality that is just as valuable: He doesn't shrivel up like a little baby in crunch situations like in last Thursday's game.
Yeah I'm pretty jealous also. More than anything tho I'm scared of having to face him in the playoffs. The Falcons have never been able to beat the Eagles and most of that was without Vick. Now you factor in Vick plus our suspect defense and it's gonna be an embarrassing loss for the Falcons. I think the Eagles can win it all if Vick stays healthy and keeps playing like this. That's bad news for us Falcon fans.
I wish he played the way he played last night when he was with the Falcons
The Falcons had a different Vick. The Vick you see now has a different approach to the game because of his recent experience and he also has better players around him especially with the recievers than what he had in Atlanta.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. People it's just football. Once MV's career is over no one will care. It all comes down to money. The Eagles will make money off of MV and the NFL will make money off of MV. How many people last night won money from best off of MV and the Eagles. People are more up in arms over MV than the wars and famine going on across the globe. It's just football.
