It would be nice if the Giants can make the post season, but if they have to face the Saints I don't think they have a chance. Oddly enough, I actually believe they have a legitimate shot at beating Green Bay if it comes to that, they proved it during the regular season. Similar game and outcome during the 2007 Giants/Pats last game of regular season when Giants almost won.
I know I"m getting way ahead of myself, but if the Giants somehow make the Superbowl it seems likely they'd face New England again. If so, I think they lose. Back in 2007 Giants played the Patriots in pre-season and regular season and lost both games and the went on to win the SB. This year, Giants played Patriots twice and beat them in both pre-season and regular season. I'm not very superstitious, but I'd rather the Giants not even make the SB if they have to face New England. I like that we still have that big win to hang over their heads.
You're not far off, one of the writers at Packers lists Giants 1st, Saints 2nd as the teams that could give the Pack trouble. Giants and Saints worry me most, both games were very close! I do think the Giants will beat the Cowboys.
If the Giants win, I think they will have a hard enough time beating the Falcons or Lions, who would be their opponent next weekend...
However, for that matter, I think the Cowboys will have the same problems if they win: They will struggle with the Lions or the Falcons.
Both teams (NYG/Dall) have been inconsistent all season, so it will be interesting what either team will do if they make the postseason...
IF ..the Giants win they will win the first round playoff game at home. Then IF the weather is bad in G.B. it plays in the Giants favor. I think tomorrow is going to be very close again, could go either way.
