Professional Football Writers of America named Aaron Rodgers MVP, JJ Watt defense, and Murray offense player of the year. This is not the ones that are announced before the SB. I found it interesting about Murray but I think because of his yards this year, and Romos better game, they may be giving more credit to Murray. I'm not here to say it is right or wrong, just found it interesting.
No I think it would be stupid for Romo NOT to restructure his contract so he can get less money and allow the team to spend more money. That;s what you have to do if you are romo especially since he only has about 2-3 years left
there are other ways to pay players that dont affect the salary cap.

running back by committee is not the way to go, dallas has tried that before without success.

Don't have to have a running back by committee. Even if we don't resign Murray and we draft a pick, there will be a back that will get most of the carries. But you can still limit a ball carrier on how many touches he gets. Just about every running back that came back after carrying the ball for over 390 times declined the next season. Murray had 392 plus 44 more in the playoffs. That's concerning.

once it becomes known in the league that your premier running back is going to be limited in how many carries they get, defenses will either key in on that running back when they are in the game, or lay back and key on the pass game when that running back is out of the game.
and by the way, tony dorsett and emmit smith both never seemed to be bothered by carrying the ball 25-30+ times per game.
I would have accepted that Jason Garrett news a lot better after the SB. Wasn't all that thrilled to hear about his new deal and the season had just ended 2 days ago
Why would it matter if they signed him after the SB as opposed to before?
Because the season had just ended when we thought we could go to the SB so to rush and extend garrett was not something that I was excited about. I would have wanted to see Dez or Murray extended first

Demarco Murray isn't Tony Dorsett or Emmitt Smith. Neither were as prone to injury as Demarco. This is the first time Demarco played a first full season. That fact still makes it hard for Dallas to give him contract because his durability is still a question mark. Tony never carried the ball as many times as Demarco did this year either. Heck neither did Emmitt as regular season goes.
330 carries by one running back does not constitute a running back by committee. Nor does it mean teams have to change how they play that back or that team. The main carrier is still getting the vast majority of the carries.

so oyu only want a super bowl win on a coaches record before you really accept them as a coach.

no. bryant and murray are prima donnas, and they want what they want. chances are that murray is the expendable one here since randle is the heir apparent to murray in the primary running back slot, with dunbar being the back up.
if bryant leaves, the cowboys still have terrance williams and cole beasley, and they can promote dwayne harris to the third WR position.

by the way you are wrong on the bolded part. in 1981tony carried the ball 342 times, and had 2936 carries over 12 seasons.
