I agree with this but if the Cowboys slip behind the Eagles next year and DeMarco has another great year, fans will blame Jerry not Stephen..
That can't happen because there is no confirmed franchise QB starting for the Philadelphia Eagles along with no receivers. So all they did was take care of the RB position after trading Shady to the Bills. And even if they get Mariota is he really going to come into the league and be Tom Brady in his rookie season? Plus Sam Bradford has never accomplished anything as a starting QB when he was healthy in 2010 and 2012. So I don't see how the Cowboys can fall behind the Eagles when they still have the best QB and WR in the division.
I say Stephen is making the football decisions now. I firmly believe Jerry would have given DeMarco as much as he wanted and crippled the team for another 5 years, like he did all of the last 16 years.
I've been saying this for the past year about Stephen. Good to see others are taking notice.

Looks like someone is whispering in Jerry's ear. I heard, I think it was on ESPN, Jerry said "if it weren't for the salary cap, DeMarco would still be a Cowboy."

Well yeah, of course.
If it weren't for the Salary Cap, the Cowboys would be the Yankees of the NFL right now.

Philly has a LOT of money tied up in Murray, Bradford, and Ryan Mathews. Bradford and Murray are injury prone.
