No, I am not wrong. Re-read what I said. In the regular season, neither Tony or Emmitt had as many carries as Demarco Murray. Tony had 50 less carries in 1981 than Demarco Murray did in 2014. That's basically like missing a game in a half or maybe even two games worth carries. Demarco had 392 carries. As far as the comparison between Demarco and Emmitt. Emmitt did not have durability issues like Demarco. That is the biggest difference between those two. This was the first time in his career that Demarco played all 16 games. Excuse their reluctance on giving a contract to a person that has this fact hanging over him like a cloud., age is important for running backs. Usually they start declining once they hit their late 20s. Demarco will be 27 next month. In those years you posted for Emmitt, he was 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26. All before the age of 27.
Here is Emmitt after 96 in which case he was 27 at the time
97 - 261
98- 319
99 -329
00- 294
01- 261
02- 254
Relatively, his numbers were significantly lower than the earlier part of the 90s and after 30, he started to decline.
Just think how many carries Murray would've had this season if he didn't lose possession 6 times.
He would have easily eclipsed over 400. All I'm saying is I'm fine if Murray comes back. But Dallas should not give him 8-10 million a year to do it. A 4 year 24-28 million contract is good enough.

I don't think you have worry about that. The Cowboys are not gonna give Murray the farm. They are saving that for Dez..
apparently the cowboys are going to put the franchise tag on bryant, and let murray explore free agency. there are suggestions that the cowboys want adrian peterson.
They Should Let Randall go he's not as good as Murray imo.
Well, Randall is the backup for a reason. They can't let him go and wont because he is still under a rookie contract and he is their backup plan. If Murray signs with another team and the Cowboys do not sign a FA RB, Randall will be the starter, at least heading into training camp. I suspect the Cowboys will draft a RB high in the draft if Murray leaves but even if that RB becomes the starter by week 1, they still need a backup, ala Randall.
