Or shoot you by mistake...to be clear, I am not against guns...but carrying one around town in PG seems like a bit much to me.

Ran into an old guy a week or so ago that was packing - he managed to clear out the Moose pretty quick. I know I wouldn't want to be around with him packing. Yikes

It was on the news b4. Gun sales are booming and have increased in swfla. Also the concealed carry classes are backlogged. So be aware if you agree or disagree more people are and will be packing.

LOL, there are some people here that know PG County.... Many areas there are nice, but there are PG areas inside the beltway where PG (local) residents would be too scared to venture.

Show us one example of that.
You better not get Xray glasses if you are concerned about people carrying concealed. Many people have no confidence that the police will protect them.

There are probably more people carrying concealed weapons around that you will never know about, as they don't make it obvious, or go around bragging about it, or have no reason to draw their weapons.

It has been legal here for years, people have had concealed weapons for years, no reason to get your panties in such a wad over the thought.

Just off the top of my head the incident where the child pulled his mom's handgun out of her purse and shot her (dead I think) comes to mind. I'm sure there are hundreds of other examples.

I was afraid my comments would cause this type of comment...but please note I issued no specific concern about people carrying but rather my concern would be that they may be untrained or incapable of handling/managing a firearm safely in a high stress situation.

AND my comment was in regard to the typical trip to HD or the coffee shop in PG where someone would actually feel compelled to strap on a gun...I'm sorry, but that just seems silly...and potentially dangerous.

I really don't want to start a guns/no guns war on this thread...to each his own within the law.
