Some years ago, my good friend and I were going to start a business using our social networks in Europe and Egypt to begin "offshoring" wives to American men. This is obviously nothing new, but why is it that with the supposed frustration guys in this country feel with dating women, that they are not exclusively seeking to "offshore" love just as businesses offshore IT staff? Is it a logistical issue? Are men worried that they're simply a gateway into this country? Is there simply a missed connection on the advantages of doing this? I'm happily married to my American woman, but I know many American men who are frustrated at the dating scene with either being cheated on, an (in their eyes) overly demanding and manipulative woman, etc. I also know many offshored marriages and it seems that culturally there is a better gender role match up between man and woman.
I'm looking for deep discourse here, not an catty argument on why American men aren't "real enough" for American women.
But to address this, technology has made it easier to bootstrap a business and create some legitimacy to an operation such as this. Good (and bad) reputation spreads quickly on the "interwebz", and I'm just surprised that a match.com equivalent isn't in full operation yet.
Ummm, there are hundreds of agencies offering just such a service.
If you want, I could forward some of the spam emails I get from them ?
That's the problem I'm figuring. There are ways to create a business model that has real legitimacy to it. I would've figured that some brainy guy (or gal) would've dreamt up an idea to create a robust and legitimate alternative to the spam.
For a brief time, my friend and I were pumped to start a business with such a model. It was sparked on the notion that our relationships here in America weren't leading to anything significant, and we figured that we'd offer men "economies of scale" by expanding their network to women in other countries where their cultural leanings may be more suited to their interests (aka gender roles)
There is.
As I say, there are hundreds of agencies.
Some legitimate, some, not so much.
Most of the ones who spam are at the "less legitimate" end of the market.
Do a google search, they're most definitely out there

Can you give me the name of a company that has an excellent reputation? Googling the term would rank the spam at the top and it would be difficult to impossible to find the legit organizations. I would challenge the notion that a match.com equivalent exists that literally has a love algorithm designed to pair individuals from across countries together.
Nope, sorry, I can't.
I could just do a search, same as you, I wouldn't know the good from the bad, but I do know that they exist, same as there are interracial dating sites, religious, gay, bi, you name it.
There really aren't many niches which aren't catered for nowadays.

I think this is part of the problem. The logistics involved, bureaucracy associated with immigration, desperation among some men, etc. make scams more appealing and possible. I'm talking about the 30 something client making good money and has a decent personality who's tired of their perceived BS associated with dating American women.

Very recently there's been ChristianMingle and JDate, so I don't know if I believe that. Once someone can get the bootstrap cash, logistics set up, etc. this idea could take off once they've developed a good reputation in the community. It's an uphill climb though.
I believe this is the greatest untapped resource since the 90's when businesses started looking to other countries to fill positions in IT. The challenge is to bring in the supply to meet the demand.
I have no idea. But you know, there are millions of beautiful, intelligent and wonderful american women, right here in the US, so Im not sure why offshoring women into the US would ever be a good idea. Maybe men simply need to step up and figure out what they're doing wrong, as they arent able to get the best out of them. Im not judging anyone for wanting to marry a foreign woman, because its their choice, but in 99% of the cases these women simply want a visa and not a partner. Why not just get a hooker, and save the heartache?
