I have been watching a thread about the existance of hell and wondered what people thought about this question..I am talking about forever and ever hellfire, and damnation of a sinner as most people believe hell is. Your personal opinions as well as scripture for or against are welcome..

Do I need even respond, blue? Anyone familiar with this forum knows what I think! And I think so based on scriptures, not despite it.

• Do you ardently desire the salvation of all men?

• Is it true that God “openeth his hand and satisfieth the desire of every living thing?” — (Ps. 145:16)

• Do you fervently pray for the salvation of all men? (1 Tim. 2:1)

• Do you pray in faith, nothing doubting? (James 1:6)

• Are you aware, “that whatsoever is not of faith is sin?” — (Rom 14:23)

Would God require us to pray for all men, and to pray in faith, unless He intends all men should be saved?

If you believe endless misery to be the truth of God, why should you desire and pray that it may prove false?

In response to the OP, belief in something's existence is not required in order for it to exist.

I think this question would or should dictate how u would be a witness, but I dont think it would decide ones fate, Jesus is whats needed to go to heaven, not belief or unblief in hell, but like I said..IMHO it would dictate how u approched people about CHrist

Trebek, posts like this should make it clear why I made an incorrect assumption in another thread!

So you believe in both Buddhism and Christianity?

I agree with this. Jesus said to get INTO Heaven, one must believe who He is. IF we believe that Jesus is who He says He is then the point of whether we believe in Hell should not even be a focal point. Our goal is to strive to be the best servant we can be and that is really where I feel we should focus our attentions.

I believe in Hell, I believe in the everlasting fires of Hell. Hell is not why I am a christian though, and I feel as long as I keep my focus on the Cross, and walk the walk that I talk, I need never fear the burning fires of that hellish pit.

I don't see how one can get into Heaven if you don't believe God's Word. The Bible is very clear on the existance of both Heaven and hell.

Accepting Christ means believing Jesus is the Son of God. God's word, the Bible says it is how we are suppose to base our life. How could one be unbelieving of God's Word and believe in Jesus. Personally, I don't see how.
