God writes the rules, and changes them on a whim... so his 'sacrifice' was completely meaningless.
not true...there are prophecies of Jesus all thru out the OT...so God didnt change the rules. and that "meaningless" part thats talked about is not meaningless to me..and it wont be meaningless throughout all eternity...

Unless I'm right, and god doesn't exist: in which case, yes - in 10,000 years christianity will have been replaced by some other religion, and in 5 billion years, our sun will atomize our entire solar system, and obliterate any remnants of mankind.

[quote=satanoid;1804144]First of all, how was it a sacrifice when jesus was only subjected to a few days of pain, and then immediately zipped back up to heaven to
Indeed, only a few days of pain of every sin of the world on his shoulders..Only a few days of pain so we could be forgiven of those sins he carried for us, only a few days of pain because he loves us enough to want us to spend eternity with him...
Secondly, god could make a billion christs, and sacrifice them all, so what makes jesus so special?
Yes, God was capable of doing that, but he chose his ONLY begotten son so that we would have a better idea of his love..Jesus was part of God..
The significance isn't in the sacrifice itself, but in what the sacrifice set in motion. You're missing the forest for the trees.
