lol ok, you just believe what you believe, and i'll believe in nothing, continue going to grad school and being a generally good, law-abiding person, and head down that highway to hell.

Yeah but wind is real and is caused by the the atmosphere balancing pressure between high pressure and low pressure zones. Nothing to do with angels with big breath standing on the four corners of the earth which happens to be spherical.

Now as for gawd, well there is no natural aka scientific explanation like wind.

Perhaps the analogy Paul used of "the wind bloweth..." flew with the illiterate of his day, you need some new analogies.

There are millions of people who follow Jesus Christ, all over the world.

Christianity is a relationship, not a religion.

I bet your not talking about the slaves kept by your friends David, Joshua, Moses, et al.

Why did your God tell them their slaves should be obediant, rather then telling them slavery was wrong?

It's not the laws of man that save you. The God of the Bible. The God that created the world and created the YOU and ME has set the standard to salvation. The Bible states even before it spread worldwide that most people will not accept the message of the cross... in fact most people will heap abuse on people who are "Christians" because it goes against they pleasures and their likes. Jesus - a Jewish carpenter - even said though heaven and earth will pass away my worlds will never pass away... and they haven't. In fact they have be spread across the world in 100's of languages and in all forms!

i have an honest question.

do you believe that the energy we put out, we get in return?
(ie. if i'm all moody and crabby one day, that i'll be treated by people in a rude and crabby way? or if i'm happy and helpful i'll end up surrounded by happy and helpful people)

.....and a huge number who thought that were Christians. They thought it was morally OK because your Bible says it is.

But its an abusive relationship, where one partner demands unquestioning dedication and worship from the other.
