Pretty sure the Bucs game was cancelled days ago by the NFL. I may be wrong tho.

Charlie Crist at the Pinellas EOC briefing - gotta be a great asset to have former Gov, State Sentate, ATTY General, US Rep as a resource.....

Hopefully everyone in the Keys hit the road and didn't try to ride it out.

So far Miami gets away well. Some hoe it seems some media outlets scramble to make everything sounds so bad as it seems so far that Miami is getting reasonable well through the storm and way better then expected up to this moment.

Keep in mind the media puts their journalist in spots where wind and rain can be seen the best as that looks better.

Some broadcasters sound like fear mongers.

The anxiety that many people have is worse due to some broadcasting.

Please stay safe and calm and don't leave now as there is no gas to fill up cars.

Sounds weird....like we won't have a Bay left! Don't worry we will have a Bay to go to!

6pm curfew anyway. Too late to leave now if you were planning on it.

Any idea how long it might be after the storm before those of us in shelters would get to go home? I understand that there are lots of variables.

Never been through this before.

I'd guess by midmorning or midday Monday unless you're going to some low-lying flooded area where roads are blocked/bridges are blocked, trees fallen, etc. If electricity is out, wonder if you'd want to stay.....are you in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk?
