UnfortunantlY everything has to be pueblo or adobe style in Albuquerque so it would be an ugly arena here in ABQ...Way to go Tulsa as thats a jammin looking arena..

How do you know its going to be Pueblo or Adobe style? Its called culture and unique! Isotopes stadium is not pueblo or Adobe style, its retro modern and one of the nicest stadiums in minor league ball. So I'm sure that Albuquerque will do it right with the Arena just like they did with the Baseball stadium.

Kind of off topic regarding Tulsa's arena, but the few times I've been through Albuquerque I just loved it. The weather, beautiful scenery, the (lack of) massive traffic jams, etc.

I definitely intend to do just that, thanks. My new company has a business office there and I intend to stay there for a few days every so often. When I do, I'll make sure it's on a Thursday and Friday so I can stay over the weekend. I just love the mountains and desert scenery, and the weather in FANTASTIC. Albuquerque has a ton of things going for it; it's one of my favorite places.

I was out and about today and decided to stop by the site and take some photos of the progess being made. Steell is now going up on the west side of the building, and we have been told that this is now half complete (the arena).

Enjoy the photos!

Next to a jail and a trashdump from what i know/seen and have heard. Beautiful design, but dollars could have spent elsewhere instead of trying to glorify the projects with over spending. Anyway tulsa will have to upgrade in 5 years when they finally get more than the 1st and 2nd rounds of the NCAA tournament. Its just not a destination for sports other than golf/southern hills. The population is just to small to cut it-250,000 not enough support big time events. southern hills is just so beautiful they cant help but to have huge 'golf' tournaments there. Tulsa u is ttowns best asset.

Great photos BigOkie. Thanks for taking those pics. I often go to the vision2025 webcam and look at the progress there as well, and it looks to be coming along nicely.
